Stamp Collection Impresses.
The stamp show
was held at the University of WA over the weekend of October 8th and
9th 2011.
There was much public interest in
the ACFS stamp collection from members of the public, stamp
collectors and dealers. In attendance were national and state
representatives of philatelic organisations and Mr Alan Tan, a
retail sales representative from Australia Post.
Chair of the Stamp Show, Dr Bruce Haynes
invited a representative from the Chinse Consulate. Mr Bu Kangxiang
duly attended with his family. Mr Bu was presented with a medallion
for gifting the stamp collection by China to the ACFS. Mrs Roz
Hanley also received a medallion as an acknowlegement of the role
played by the Society in receiving and preserving the collection.
